April, May & June Update!

Howdy folks!

Well it's been another eventful 3 months but i thought it was time for an update, try and bring a few creations together in one place.

Since my last update i've been quite busy on the music front, both in production and in DJing...

I also recently saw Borgore, Elite Force & Truth live and all 3 were unique and amazing experiences.
Surprisingly Elite Force was probably the heaviest and most entertaining set i've ever seen... His control over sound and the flow of music is incredible and i pulled alot of inspiration from that set, especially in the mastering side of production.
He had the most amazing quality of sound i think i've ever heard aswell, on a reasonably small setup (2xPioneer CDJ2000s, 1xDJM1000, 2x Technics Digital Vinyl decks, Apple Macbook with Serato & 2x Novation pads).
Anyways onto the designs;

Here is an attempt at a forced perspective (the photo is taken at a 90 degree angle/i am actually laying on the floor with my legs crossed on the wall), lomoish type self portrait.

News, New Tracks and Event Information

G'day everyone!

Well it's been an interesting few weeks for me...

First of all i am currently in the process of moving house, this has probably been the most stressful yet promising time of my life, for a while there it was looking like my cousin and I weren't going to get a place because of how difficult the market is over here for getting a house but we have actually found something and will be moving in soon! Yay!

In more music related news, we (my cousin & I) have been able to make some new tracks, and we have also come up with a name for our collaborative works, like a band name, "PS1S73M" (pronounced 'system') will be our new collab alias.

That's about all for the tracks for now, i mean we have started a few more, but they are too incomplete to even upload so be sure to watchout for any releases in the very near future ;)

Also another thing stopping us from really creating some fresh new shit is the fact that Native Instruments Massive (the single best synthesizer for dubstep/dnb) has been crashing constantly in both FL Studio, ACID and any other DAW we try... So we're going to have to wait until i bring all my gear down to the new house before we can start working on the heavy dubstep tunes.. That said it's given us a chance to go back to older synths with our new knowledge and create some fairly impressive sounds from scratch that otherwise wouldn't of tried.

Last but certainly not least, my cousin has landed a job organising gigs at the local hotel so starting April 15th both him and I will be performing that night as "Indie Dubstep DJ's" which we have dubbed the show 'DubVirgins'. I also designed the promotional poster for the event;

Dubstep songs that have changed my life this year...

Well it's coming to the end of the year, and it may not have been the greatest year for gaming with every man and his dog producing sequals, but it has been a damn good year for music especially dubstep!

Zeds Dead is by far my favourite artist of this year... Best thing to come out of Cananda since Stargate!

Just an FYI...

well i started this blog wayyy back in mid 2008 but barely posted anything here... I am going to remove the old posts so that i have a nice clean fresh start, with my new designs and i definitely will be posting much more often!

New song finished!

Just finished a new track called Mechanimal

It's a downbeat trip-hop type track which is heavily inspired by DJ Krush...
I started working on a cinematic orchestral piece and ended up with this, i love the contrast of classical instruments with modern day electronic drums and synth FX.

Update from the grave!

Well it's been almost 2 years since i've posted here, but that is all about to change!

I have redesigned the site, added a flash nav bar at the top, and i plan on posting alot more media here.

The design of this site and my other sites are still not quite what i want, i want this blog to be my main central blog, so i'm not sure what i should do to make this into a portal/hub type site but i guess i'll jump off that bridge when i come to it :)

For now i hope to bring the highest standard of posting and design to these fine pages...
